Ddolbeng Typing Practice
The next key lights up — a typing game with a friend on every finger
Play now
Ten fingers, ten friends. Instead of “left index finger”, it’s “Ddolbeng’s turn!” — so a child learns which finger owns which key without ever learning the names of fingers.
How to play
- The key to press lights up, and the face of the finger friend who owns it pops up on top. On the keyboard island, press any key and Ddolbeng hops onto it.
- Balloon Pop — friends float up holding letter balloons. Type the letter and the balloon pops, and your friend parachutes down. A balloon that reaches the top breaks a heart.
- Ddolbeng’s Walk — clear the path by typing whatever is in the way. Somi the rabbit races you on the next path over. A wrong key makes you stumble; get there first to win.
- Ddolbeng’s Diner — customers bring a picture order. Type the ingredients in order to cook it. Keep someone waiting too long and they leave disappointed.
- Stages open in the shape of the keyboard: one pair of fingers at a time, then the home row, the rows above and below, and whole words. Do well and it speeds up a little; struggle and it slows down.
For grown-ups
- It keeps pace with your child. The speed adjusts after every round, so a round is always close — never hopeless, never a walkover.
- No ads, no in-app purchases. There is no way for a child to spend money by mistake.
- No account, no install. It opens in the browser, and progress stays on that device.
- You can see what improved. Hold the lock for three seconds to see accuracy for every key, the keys that need more practice, and the stars from each game.
What you need
A computer with a keyboard, or a tablet with a keyboard attached, is best. Without a keyboard, children can tap the keyboard on screen.
